Other than computers, what do you repair?

As our name suggests we do repair desktop, all-in-one and laptop computers.  We also repair smaller personal devices such as smartphones like iPhones, personal music devices such as iPods.

We repair computing related components such as hard drives and recover data from faulty USB hard disks and memory sticks.  On occasion we have also repaired other electronic equipment such as a studio mixing desk, even if your item has not been mentioned here it is worth checking with us if its something we can repair.  We have a fully equipped workshop no need to book just turn up and we will diagnose the fault. Same day and next day service available. We can diagnose any software or hardware related fault on laptop and desktop computers. We will report on the fault and provide an all inclusive quote for repair before doing any work on your device so you do not face any spiralling repair bills.

What are your other charges?

We constantly review our charging structure to ensure that it remains as competitive as possible and always represents excellent value for money. Please call into the Crawley Computer Centre workshop and one of our friendly staff will be happy to advise you.

What happens if the engineer is unable to repair my computer at my home or office?

In this unlikely scenario, there will be nothing to pay at all, apart from the callout fee.

Is there a callout fee to pay?

We charge a small callout fee – this is intended only to cover the engineer’s fuel costs and 1st hour.

Are your engineers fully qualified?

Our engineers are qualified and highly experienced. They are carefully selected and have all spent many years working in the computer industry.

Which methods of payment do you accept?

We accept payment in cash and we also accept all major credit (with exception of Amex) and debit cards. A full receipt will be given.

Is your work guaranteed?

Our work is fully guaranteed. All components which are supplied new are covered by a full twelve months manufacturer warranty.  Repairs to components or devices have a 90 warranty.  If you are on a tight budget we can also provide some second user equipment which comes with a 60 day return to base warranty.

Can I limit the booking to one hours’ work?

Yes, you can choose to limit the booking to one hour and the engineer will do his very best to complete the work within the agreed timescale.

If the repair takes only forty minutes, will I have to pay for a full hour?

Our minimum charging period is one hour. If the repair is completed in less time than this, the engineer will offer to stay for the remaining time to carry out a general PC health check or a virus scan or answer any computing queries you may have.

Do you repair printers?

We carry out software related repairs to printers – driver and/or installation problems, however, we do not repair printer hardware failures.

Do you repair monitors?

Unfortunately, we do not carry out repairs to monitors. For monitor hardware failures, we recommend you to contact the manufacturer or perhaps consult a television repair specialist.  All of our new monitors have a 3 year manufacturer warranty as standard.

I am in a hurry, can you repair my device while I wait?

Some devices can be repaired while you wait such as iPhone screen replacement.  However, if a fault is more involved and requires a complete bench test such as liquid damage or intermittent faults we recommend you leave the device with us, we can still usually complete the assessment within the same day.

We offer a queue jumping service for laptop, desktop and games consoles repairs which is called an Express service.  Your item will jump to the front of the queue an an engineer will call you with an early assessment within the hour.  All of our VIP Club customers receive this service as standard.
